GPU Support
DaDesktop provides two methods for harnessing GPU power, available right here in Mexico:
- Physical GPU passthrough (available solely in select data centers). This offers full hardware acceleration because it utilizes an actual graphics card.
- GPU simulation via LLVM Pipe. This operates perfectly on all of our Linux distributions, for example Ubuntu 22.04 and 24.04. At present, though, it does not work on Windows 10.
If you are uncertain whether your desired application requires a GPU (such as Blender, which does), you may come across a message similar to this:
"A graphics card and driver that support OpenGL 3.3 or higher is necessary. Updating to the latest graphics card driver might resolve the problem."
