Establishing Organizations
When you register, an Organization is typically set up automatically with the same name as your username.
However, you might sometimes find it beneficial to create a fresh Organization—for example, a company name—when several users from one company are using DaDesktop.
Note: Creating an Organization is a Super Admin–only privilege.

Creating Organizations Within DaDesktop
There are two approaches to creating an Organization: the default method also generates an organization owner account at the same time, and a second method where no separate owner user account is needed (for example, when one already exists).
Creating an Organization Along With Its Owner User Account
- The account owner’s email, a password, and first and last names are required. Roles may be assigned as necessary. The currency is determined by the portal used—dadesktop.com defaults to EUR, while dadesktop.cn selects CNY.
- You must also supply an Organization name together with a code. Keep the code short; once set, it cannot be altered.
- The options for Allowing course recordings or publishing course recordings are applied to ALL recordings within an Organization. The same is true for the Receiving Promotional Emails setting. Choosing it here applies to the whole organization.
- The ‘Allow Recordings’ toggle determines whether Recordings are accessible across the entire organization.
- If necessary, Private servers can be selected. Keep in mind that a server must first be marked ‘Private’ before it becomes available here.
