Connecting Via RDP

When establishing an RDP connection, you have several client options available:

Among these, Freerdp2-x11 is the sole client that provides multi-monitor support.
 

To connect to RDP using multiple monitors, follow these steps:
 

Setting up freerdp2-x11 in DaDesktop Private Node (ddpn)

sudo apt install freerdp2-x11

Initiating a connection to your Work Desktop

xfreerdp /multimon /u:dadesktop/v:zh4cn.npg.io:16666

Exiting the session

CTRL+ALT+Enter

or

Windows Start Menu > Log Off -> Disconnect

 

Redirecting sound and microphone

xfreerdp /multimon /u:dadesktop/v:zh4cn.npg.io:16666  /microphone:sys:alsa  /sound:sys:alsa

 

xfreerdp /multimon /u:dadesktop/v:10.0.3.4  /microphone:sys:alsa  /sound:sys:alsa /gfx +window-drag  -compression -sec-rdp -sec-tls -encryption /gdi:hw /video
